Bongiovanni Lab Research
Dr. Bongiovanni’s research focuses on improving surgical care of older adults, with a particular focus on improving pain management and medication prescribing both in the hospital and after discharge. Her research spans multiple departments and divisions, representing a unique transdisciplinary approach that seeks to better understand barriers to quality care and address them through implementation science. To conduct this work, she draws upon several funding mechanisms, including the National Institute on Aging, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and institutional grants.
